Weekly Vocabulary April 4

1. Word / Phrase: Conference Meeting

Meaning: The act of consulting together formally; serious conversation or discussion; interchange of views.

Context: In my internship, there's often conference meeting. Three different team gathers and share ideas about latest news on press.

2. Word / Phrase: Compile

Meaning: To put together(documents,selections,or other materials)in one book or work.

Context: I had to work on compiling books on first day of internship. By author's last name from A to Z.

3. Word / Phrase: Cross-selling

Meaning: Act of selling related products to customers.

Context: Amazon is cross-selling books to customers. So customers could somehow be interested and purchase one more book.

4. Word / Phrase: Indolent

Meaning: Disinclined to exert oneself; habitually lazy.

Context: Waking up in the morning reminds me of indolent.

5. Word / Phrase: Exemplary

Meaning:1)Worthy of imitation; commendable: exemplary behavior.
2)Serving as a model.

Context: Super heroes were once exemplary to me.
