Weekly Vocabulary April 18

1. Word / Phrase: Acerbic

Meaning: sharp, biting, or acid in temper, expression, or tone.

Context: My pen is acerbic. From its point, ink comes out. So I could write notes.

2. Word / Phrase: Hullabaloo

Meaning: a confused noise; uproar.

Context: I yell out hullaballo, when I'm completely lost in math class.

3. Word / Phrase: Garrulous

Meaning: talkative; also, wordy.

Context: I hate people who's very garrulous. Especially, I'm tired and resting.

4. Word / Phrase: Lubricious

Meaning: lewd; also, slippery or smooth.

Context: Watch out for running in hallway. It's lubricous. You could fall and hurt yourself.

5. Word / Phrase: Aplomb

Meaning: confidence; coolness.

Context: Mr.Andrew is full of aplomb. Probably, that's the reason why he good at teaching.

Aplomb Andrew...I like it. It has alliteration.

It sounds like you need some kind of hullabaloo at work to wake you up.
