Third Week Assignment
Describe one significant activity or project that you have completed or are working on currently.
Recently, I've worked on similar tasks. Which are organizing files & inserting book contract infos into Microsoft Exel. For organizing files, I had to put all the related files into author's last name. These files were important. It contained every author's information, and some feedback from the readers.
During my internship, I finished all my works accurately as told.
Since my mentor: Ms. Golnar was sick, my co-worker: Leyli assigned me to collect data on quantity of books in shelf . I've done that good and I helped marketing team worker: Michael as well. My new task from him was to get the materials from the hall.
Thanks to Michael, I got there safe without trouble :)
Again, I'm happy that marketing team workers are kind to me!
Then successfully, I returned home after all these experiences.
(The job there was very professional. You have everything assigned and all indepent!)
Lastly, I hope Mentor: Ms.Golnar will be relieved and wish to see her face again ^-^

Second Week Assignment
What did you do during your second week?
Second week, I was working on Microsoft Exel ^-^
I had to organize book contracts with its data.
It was pretty tough, because you have to look at computer monitor for several hrs.
However, I feel it was still great experiences.
How was it different than the first week?
During first week, I've worked on files & organize bookshelfs.
It might sound pretty easy. But it was actually harder than I thought.
Fortunately, I'm getting hang of every work ;)
What is something that you really like about the internship?
I really like the fact that I'm working in new environment.
I never had feeling like this working with adults. I feel more indepent.
What is something you dislike about the internship?
The only thing I dislike about my internship is that it's hot inside or else..no problem =)

The End of the First Week of Internships
What is it?
My internship is "Teacher College Press" in Columbia Univ.
What kind of business is it and what kind of work do the professionals do there?
It's a business dealing with publishing educational books for parents & teachers. There's three different professions there. Which are acquisition, marketing, and productions.
Also, I'm dealing with marketing :)
Where is it?
It's located in 1234 Amsterdam Ave, Manhattan.
You have to get off at 125th St. and Walk towards Amsterdam Ave. (Between 121st and 120st)
Tell a little about your mentor.
My mentor's name is Golnar Nikpour. I have to say that she's EXCELLENT mentor.
She helps me alot with the questions. Very guideful and trustful.
She's also nice to ask me about the days in internship.
What happened on the first day?
First day of internship, I was worried about the things I had to do.
But my mentor kindly guide through everything. So I was very relieved.
Now I'm used to it! ^_^
What kinds things have you done so far?
I'd worked on putting books on the shelf, organizing the files into file drawer, and organizing company's book contracts using Microsoft Exel.
What were some of the highlights of the first week? (Memorable moments, cool things...)
There was too many highlights for my first week. I was impressed with how each works were playing different roles. Also, the environment was most memorable for me. It wasn't crowded like high school. Sort mature.
When do you leave school?
I leave school at 11:40am. After school lunch.
How long does it take you to get to your internship?
It takes 1hr 30min from school.
When do you arrive at home?
I arrive home before 6pm. About 5:30pm.
What is your schedule?(What days do you work and for how long each day?)
I work Mon-Thurs for 3hrs.
Who are the two people that can sign your time card? (Your mentor and the additional person)
Ms.Golnar signed my time card. But I forgot to ask additional person to sign.

I definitely love my intership site. I began seeing a lot of changes.
Also, such a great people out there :)
